•  On June 3, 2021, President Biden declared the State of Louisiana as a major disaster area.  This action by the President makes federal funding available to persons affected by the flooding, tornadoes, and the severe storms which hit May 17 through May 21.  
Assistance is open to persons living in Ascension, Calcasieu, East Baton Rouge, Iberville, and Lafayette parishes.  Such assistance may include temporary housing grants and grants for home repair, low cost loans , and other programs to help persons and business owner in recovery.
